The ZN118-12 Series Vertical Rotating Isolating Vacuum Circuit Breaker is an advanced intelligent, compact, safe, reliable, and energy-efficient indoor high-voltage vertical rotating vacuum circuit breaker independently developed by Guangte Electric. Its main features include integrating the vacuum circuit breaker, isolating switch, and intelligent unit into one unit. The main circuit uses a vertical layout, making the product structure simple and compact. The isolating switch is visible for safety, and the breaker can be operated both manually and electrically from the working position to the test position (isolation position). It is suitable for indoor three-phase AC power systems with a rated voltage of 12kV and a rated frequency of 50Hz, and is used for controlling, protecting, and monitoring in power distribution systems of industrial and mining enterprises, substations, and power plants.

1. Good Current Carrying Effect and High Heat Dissipation Efficiency


The three-phase pole structure is compact, with vertical through-flow when in working position, ensuring smooth heat dissipation. The vertical axial flow cooling structure eliminates the thermal dead zone present in traditional contact arm and insertion contact box structures.

2. Innovative Isolating Circuit Breaker for Safety and Reliability

It combines the functions of a circuit breaker and an isolating switch, with visible isolation points without moving the handcart, ensuring safety and reliability.

3. Using a Helical Spring Operating Mechanism for Stable Performance

The helical spring mechanism uses a helical spring as the energy storage element to complete the circuit breaker’s open-close operation. It functions as both the open and close spring. Compared to the spiral double spring mechanism, it avoids issues of overcoming the opening resistance and has no significant inflection points during the open-close process. This improves electrical longevity, provides stable force, reduces operating power, extends lifespan, occupies less space, and has a simple structure. It uses a planar closed cam as the driving element, with good mechanical properties, and effectively suppresses closing bounce, opening overshoot, and rebound.

4. Integrated Dual-Function Operating Mechanism with Integrated Interlocking System

The circuit breaker mechanism and isolating rotating mechanism are integrated and arranged together. Through the driver/rotating function conversion assembly, the interlocking of the isolating switch, circuit breaker, handcart, and grounding switch is integrated, providing simple and reliable operation. The circuit breaker and isolating switch can be operated both manually and electrically from the working position to the test position (isolation position).

5. Intelligent and Environmentally Friendly

The device uses surface acoustic wave technology to monitor the temperature rise of circuit breaker contacts and bus nodes in real-time, providing equipment status assessment. Both the isolating switch and the circuit breaker can be remotely controlled, making it a key component in achieving smart power distribution networks. Both the circuit breaker and isolating switch use air insulation, which is environmentally friendly and pollution-free.
